Donjon de Bours

Located in the centre of the Village Patrimoine® of Bours, this remarkable building has stood for more than 650 years. Having witnessed numerous historical events, it has survived the passing of time and conflicts while retaining its exceptional character.

Built from sandstone, the donjon is one of the rare surviving examples of a medieval fortified residence in the region. It provides valuable insight into the lifestyle of local lords during the Hundred Years' War.

Guided tours allow visitors to explore this architectural gem of the Hauts-de-France region and learn more about its history, architecture and former inhabitants.
